BerryBuzz, the wildly popular app from Bellshare GmbH which greatly extends the default Blackberry alert system by allowing users to customize their LED Colors, add repeating audible reminders for many alert types and also allow the option to vibrate while ringing for incoming calls and notifications has received a major update to version 3.0.66.

This update brings several new features and improvements to this already awesome app, including:

Added support for YouMail Visual Voicemail
Added support for Tweetissimo
Added support for crunchSMS
Improved contact matching for incoming calls (fixes LED not working for contacts)
Fixed SocialScope support
Fixed clearing of IM+ notifications
Clear messages on first key activity’ now applies to messages, not only e-mail/SMS
Fixed activation not working via direct TCP/IP
Fixed custom profiles being deleted on BerryBuzz deinstallation (OS 5.0 only)

T-Mobile To Launch Trackball Replacement Program

I was surprised and happy to catch this off the wire today from T-Mo News. According to their post, beginning February 15 T-mobile will be offering a free BlackBerry trackball replacement program for T-mobile customers still making use of T-mobile branded pearl 8100/8120 or curve 8320 devices. If you have been experiencing issues with your trackball, you will now have the option to visit a T-Mobile Retail Store and have it replaced for FREE! This is the best news I’ve heard out of T-mo in a while. Thanks T-mo
