9700 Users Rejoice! Official OS6 Released (v6.0.0.380)

BlackBerry Bold 9700 owners can do a little celebrating this week as Vodafone Essar Limited, India’s third-largest mobile service provider has become the first carrier to release an official BlackBerry 6 operating system for 9700 devices. Having personally used several operating systems in the past from Vodafone Essar I suspect that this OS (albeit a first release) will be quite stable and fast but please feel free to leave a comment with any observations you may have.

After I did all that, During the installation of the new update it says there’s an error with one or more moduals. Do you know what that could be? Is it the applications that I have installed maybe?

Nevermind I got it through. Wow the intro is WAY different. Will it do this everytime I reboot? LOL….Thanks

  • Glad you got it worked out Dulce, the Setup Wizard should just run the first time after you’ve installed your new OS… but OS6 is still new to me ;)

Yea so far there are things I like about it, but definitely a lot I don’t like!!!!! There are a few icons that I can’t figure out how to remove, and I’m not sure if it’s taking any of my space, it seems like it is because I only have like 40 mb left. Plus every like 5 seconds you see the loading clock working. I thought it might be my memory booster app or battery booster app but I had those on the last OS and it didn’t do that? I don’t know…I wanna switch back to OS5

I actually had to remove my memory booster app because it was not working right with 6, but I think there are a couple different memory apps out there

Just installed the official release and everything seems to be fine except my DP’s in BBM cant arent showing. Any Ideas?

  • I’m not sure I follow ‘DP’s’ ?
