
BlackBerry App World 2.0
Today Research In Motion (RIM) released an update to BlackBerry App World, the official application store for BlackBerry smartphones. This beta release of App World version 2.0 is available via invite to certain members of the BlackBerry Beta Zone and includes several new features such as new payment options which will allow users to purchase apps via PayPal, credit card or through carrier billing (for various carriers), an improved search including QR barcode scanning and the addition of BlackBerry ID which will provide customers with a device-independent user identification that will allow for the use of the new payment options as well as allowing users to seamlessly transfer their personal library of free and purchased apps when they switch to a new BlackBerry smartphone.
