Every now and then you just have to break out of routine and try something new. So last month I decided that I would ditch my long-time homepage and default search engine of Google and give a fair shake to Microsoft’s new pride and joy Bing, well after several weeks of use I have to say that Bing has truly won me over and that this rut breaking trial is looking more like a permanent change to my usual web habits. Having decided to dig a little deeper in to Bing I found that they also offer up a well rounded mobile app available for BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, iphone, Sidekick and other smart devices. The Bing mobile app brings the beautiful interface and powerful search engine to your device in a mobile friendly package. The Bing app includes a speech powered search, maps and directions with ‘click to call’, favorites, top news stories, geo-location services and more. Best of all the Bing mobile app is quick loading, light weight and user friendly. It is definetly worth downloading this one. Also make sure to try out Bing-411 (1-800-Bing-411 or 1-1800-246-4411) a free 411 service provided by Bing that will change the way you search from your mobile device. Take the time right now to add Bing-411 to your address book, you’ll be glad you did. Enjoy.

Here’s my theme: lemonade stand…in the Hamptons. I love the sweetness of pastels (pink and yellow, in particular) but I don’t want it to look childish or birthday party-ish or (shudder) easter-egg-ish. I want it to be fresh and young and sweet and pretty and I want people to say “wow, I never thought these colors together could be so sophisticated.”
